Our Story
THE HOPE OF EVERY PARENT
The school all started in 1976 with a young couple who took a chance. The couple were both educators and first-time parents. With a toddler and another child on the way, they could not find a neighborhood preschool good enough for their children. So they decided to create one.
At that time, Mr. Limon was a professor at the Asian Institute of Management and the late Mrs. Limon was Acting Dean of the Maryknoll Child Study Department. Through their passion for quality education and their collective expertise, and, in consultation with professionals from Ateneo and La Salle, Child Learning Center was founded.
As parents, they kept in mind the hope of every parent: for a school that will teach the values started by the home and with grownups who share the same old-fashioned values. They knew that given the right environment, guidance and encouragement, children are capable of amazing things. This is a belief that our teachers and staff share.
Since its conception, Child Learning Center has produced generations of graduates and will continue to preserve the legacy started by two young parents: a quality preschool for their children that espouses old-fashioned values.
Our Teachers
NOT ALL SUPERHEROES WEAR CAPES
CLC is fortunate to have a team of experienced and passionate educators. These women share our belief that each child is unique and that they become exceptional adults with proper direction, encouragement, and care.
Our CLC teachers live by old-fashioned Filipino values and can understand the needs of children at this early age. Through their daily interactions with the children, our teachers guide them through their developmental stages and sharpen their motor skills, critical thinking skills and early literacy competence all the while looking out for their emotional and physical well-being.
Our team of educators has more than 75 years of collective teaching experience at CLC, highlighting their depth of classroom experience and providing a solid foundation for our early learners.
Our Values
OLD-FASHIONED FAMILY VALUES
CLC espouses traditional family values with a special focus on: Respect, Honesty, Kindness and Gratitude. These are universal principles that help children become responsible, happy and loving citizens.
During the school year, these four key values receive extra emphasis as we introduce them to the children through stories, discussion, art and games. On-going activities that may extend to the home allow for meaningful connections between the concepts learned at school and real-life examples.
